We were introduced to Gus Gonzalez of Alma Gardening by our architect/contractor. We had many conversations with Gus for our landscaping including hard-scape/soft-scape and many details related to those. We found Gus to be very knowledgeable, professional and courteous, and a good communicator in explaining the options and associated costs. We were impressed with his competence and chose him as our landscape contractor. He helped us design all aspects and was to handle all grading, hardscapes, planting, lighting, irrigation system, etc. It was not an easy task to match all the different topological features. He made sure we got a good walkway all around the house, meeting the requirements for a wheelchair to go around to front, back, sides and garage. He installed irrigation and lighting system controllable by app. He helped us in choosing drought tolerant plants and a drip system that covers grass, groundcover, plants and pots as well as installing a basketball hoop and a basketball floor (concrete floor with floor cover).What amazed us further was that he could help us with a few items beyond the scope of landscaping including sidewalk expansion, trenching and proper refilling to take care of waste water connections from house to under the street. He has a very capable crew for all aspects including stone work, brick work, pavers, asphalt, concrete, edging, irrigation and low voltage electrical systems. His knowledge of plants and trees as well as his ability to understand HOA requirements made the whole process very smooth. If this is not enough, he has great follow up after installation to make sure things are working well and the plants and greenery are taking hold well. We have the highest respect for him and his company and have no hesitation in recommending him highly to take care of landscaping needs for anybody.
Gus (Alma Gardening Co.) did an incredible job with my hardscape / landscape project. He installed a paver walkway, lighting, DG, native plants, added a drip system and fixed the exisiting sprinkler system that a less careful contractor mangled previously. I am blown away by the end result and it was so refreshing dealing with a true gentleman and professional like Gus. He stood by his word, did not try to squeeze me for more money at any point (as is custom in this town) and exceeded my every expectation with the end result. If only every other business in LA operated like this being a landlord / homeowner would be far less stressful. Gus met with me personally every step of the way, gave recommendations on materials and kept me updated throughout the process. I could not be more pleased. They simply do not make them like Gus anymore, sadly. 5000 stars.
Pleasant service , plenty of vegetables and fruit, and herbs to choose from they have fresh bakery items banana bread baguettes and cookies croissants etc during Nov they gave out free food bags with nice produce and canned goods from thrives market, free coffee ☕ each week oh cannot forget the fresh squeezed juices and smoothies , flowers 🌺 at times you can buy cooked breakfast to enjoy. Classes for children in gardening.
I had 3 dead trees on my property. Gus and his crew did a fantastic job removing them.

I have utilized Alma Gardening Services at 5 of my apartment buildings in the San Fernando Valley and they have done a great job. They are responsive when I have a request and are able to do anything from irrigation, renovation, tree trimming, to regular landscape maintenance. They are also reasonably priced and are licensed and insured. I have been happy with their work.
